What is EVgo?

EVgo is one of the nation’s largest public networks of DC fast chargers. We have over 1,000 fast charging stations and are on a mission to deliver a fast charging experience that leaves fossil fuels in the rearview mirror.

When was EVgo's first public EV fast charging station opened?

Founded in 2010, EVgo opened our first public Electric Vehicle (EV) fast charging station in 2011. EVgo now has more than 950 public fast charging locations across the U.S. ranging from 50 kW through 350 kW and just under 2,000 new chargers in active Engineering & Construction pipeline stages.

How many Level 2 chargers does EVgo provide access to?

EVgo provides EV drivers access to more than 29,000 Level 2 chargers through EVgo and our roaming partners, making us one of the largest public EV fast charging networks in the nation. Today we have more than 900 EV fast charging stations in more than 30 states and the District of Columbia.

How do I charge my EVgo?

Tap to Start Your Charge: Initiate the charging process by tapping the EVgo app screen. Alternatively, use your EVgo program card or credit card to commence the charging session. Once activated, the screen will provide confirmation that the charger is actively in use.

Does EVgo charge per kWh?

Pricing will depend on the region where you charge and the type of plan selected. You can check the EVgo map or PlugShare for specific station pricing. We offer per minute charging in many areas and per kWh charging in select locations. In areas where we offer per kWh charging, costs also vary by time of day with our Time of Use (TOU) pricing.
