The Jasper Solar Power Plant is a 96 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant located in the Northern Cape Province of South Africa, near Kimberley. It became the largest solar power installation in Africa when it came online in October 2014. The facility spans 180 hectares and generates approximately 183,000 MWh of electricity annually, enough to power around 80,000 households23. The plant features 325,360 Yingli multi-crystalline modules, each with a peak power rating of 295W4.
